Studies show that cases of abuse in youth sports are on the rise. Learn how to spot abuse, train your staff and students on how to prevent it from happening, and how to respond to incidents. We all have a role to play in creating a safe sports environment.

KNOW YOUR RISK

If an abuse incident occurred in your youth sports organization, would you know what to do and how to report it? In cases of child abuse of any kind, how an individual or organization responds to the incident is examined just as closely as the allegation itself. Learn your organization’s risk level. Of child sexual abuse victims do not report the incident

BARRIERS TO SPORT

Transportation, team travel costs, and an athlete’s family responsibilities like work are barriers families may face. Engage with youth sports executives to work on sports accessibility solutions

PARTICIPATION IS DECLINING

There is a 50% decrease in sport participation  between households making >100k & households making <25k. Join the conversation on how to ensure all athletes have access to sports. Of parents from households making <50k say sports cost too much

KEYNOTE SPEAKER

Rachael Denhollander

Rachael Denhollander became known internationally in 2016 as the first woman to pursue criminal charges and speak publicly against USA Gymnastics’ team doctor Larry Nassar, one of the most prolific sexual abusers in recorded history. As a result of her activism, over 300
women— including numerous Olympic medalists—came forward as survivors of Nassar’s abuse, eventually leading to his life imprisonment.

Her courageous tenacity and ongoing advocacy helped trigger a complete upheaval at both USA Gymnastics and Michigan State University, where former executives and high-ranking officials face numerous criminal charges for their complicity in covering up Nassar’s abuse and lying about what they knew.
